A
System for the Future
Windows 2000 offers a flexible, reliable, network solution
that has been accepted as today's industry standard.
DV2000 is a scalable platform to support the messaging
functions you need today - and functions you may not even
thought of for the future. Providing sophisticated
integration between many different forms of
communications, DV2000 will become the center of your
messaging needs.
Delivering the Call
DV2000 provides exceptional flexibility for automated
attendant applications.
Calls to unavailable individuals can be answered by one of
several greetings, activated by the subscriber. Routing to
greetings can also be controlled based on date and time of
day. Callers may be prompted to select a department, a
dial by name directory or one of a series of informational
mailboxes. Using the convenient GUI interface, system
administrators can create and change routing and
applications at the click of a mouse.
Getting the Message
Subscribers enjoy extensive formation and control over
messaging. Unanswered calls are typically forwarded to the
appropriate mailbox. Callers hear the subscriber's
greeting and are prompted with easy to follow instructions
to leave a message. Message notification is accomplished
with message waiting lights on the telephone instruments,
pager notification, and message delivery to a voice
mailbox or e-mailbox. Off premise users can use many of
the same features available to those on site.
Managing Your Messages
New subscribers are offered a "new user
tutorial" which walks the user through setting-up a
password, greeting and personal name recording and which
gives the user tips and instructions on using the system.
Advanced 'power user' features include multiple greetings
by schedule, call routing by schedule, and scheduled
delivery of messages. To keep reviewed messages organized,
they can be stored in multiple "archive
folders." |

VeMail
VeMail is a unique message notification and delivery tool
available only from DV2000. Subscribers can configure
their voice mailboxes such that a copy of the voice
message is sent to a designated e-mail address in the form
of a .wav file. Using the multimedia facilities on his or
her PC, the subscriber can then play the messages without
even calling the voice mail system. This feature is not
limited to on site users - field sales management,
customer relations, and telephone trees are only a few of
the applications for this powerful tool. VeMail is
included in DV2000 and DV4.
Fax-eMail
Fax-eMail allows callers to direct fax transmissions
directly to a subscriber's mailbox. Copies of the fax are
automatically sent as .tif attachments to the subscriber's
e-mail address. In addition, subscribers can later
retrieve or re-direct the fax to any local or off-site fax
machine. Fax is included in DV2000 and DV4
Administrative System
Administration is available through an easy to use GUI
interface. Mailbox management, automated attendant
programming and comprehensive reports are available
through this interface. Administrators can access
administration at the system itself with the DV2000
keyboard and monitor, through the LAN, or via modem.
