What global warming is what my neighbors and I have been asking each other as we shovel our side walks in the frozen tundra of Milwaukee. As I kiss my family good bye every morning while they walk out in to the freezing January winter, I can’t help but being really grateful for VoIP technology which allows me to telecommute and stay nice and comfy in my home office. Of course VoIP phone systems do have there down sides. For example, today is a snow day. All schools and many of my co-workers in our Chicago office have stayed home up in the midst of 30 below zero wind chill. But what about me? Where is my snow day? I am here, I am working and ready to take the next call. As a telecommuter I don’t get very many snow days, in fact I don’t get any. There will be no play time for me as I have to pull triple duty today. So enjoy your snow day and think about us poor telecommuters who have to pull the weight of you snow day slackers.
