There are over 2 million branch offices in North America that are part of larger organizations. Historically, these offices have been totally independent of the parent organization - with no voice or data connectivity. But in the mid-90s, the advent of remote access allowed companies to provide networked data services to remote locations, creating a seamless information environment. Today, Citel's Distributed Voice Solutions provide the same level of connectivity for the corporate telephone system.
With the EXTender™ 6000 for Branch Offices companies can extend the PBX/KTS with all of its capabilities to remote sites over the existing data connection. So, if a company already has a Fractional T1 or Frame Relay network running for data, they can use that same data connection to extend digital phone sets to the branch office. The Extender™ 6000 can operate in a dedicated point-to-point network over a leased line such as a CSU/DSU to CSU/DSU over T1, or in an IP network over Ethernet. The choice is yours!
EXTender™ 7000 for Branch Offices is an integrated networking product that delivers local calling capabilities, access to local trunk lines and full functionality of a central site telephone system to remote offices over circuit- and packet-based networks. The EXTender PBXgateway II, located at the corporate office, terminates the EXTender 7000. The complete EXTender PBXgateway II and EXTender 7000 solution includes a built-in Channel Service Unit (CSU)/Data Service Unit (DSU) to terminate up to two T1 or PRI interfaces.
