Partner Messaging

PARTNER Messaging products let you provide exceptional customer service by greeting callers with prompt, courteous responses 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Even during peak hours, automated attendants give you the flexibility to handle incoming callers with ease by redirecting them to the right person, mailbox, or recorded announcement. Partner Voice Mail R3 systems provide a single automated attendant capability. The PMR1 system is equipped with four multilevel automated attendants that enable bilingual support, and allows you to define up to 99 sub-menus and announcements to meet your particular needs. And, PMR1 provides customers and employees alike with the convenience of dialing by name using a company directory when recipients' extensions are unknown.

PARTNER Messaging products enhance your employees' efficiency by providing them with anytime, anywhere access to their voice mailboxes. You can offer customers features such as personalized greetings, group broadcasting to designated lists (from workgroups to company-wide), screening of incoming calls, and even recording of live calls*, as well as timesaving automated responses to common requests (such as business hours or ordering instructions).

  Key Features or Characteristics

Multilevel Automated Attendants
PARTNER Messaging Release 1.0 (PMR1) features four automated attendants to answer incoming calls and provide callers with multilevel menu selections. Based on caller input, PMR1 uses the multiple sub-menus to direct each call to the person or automated announcement that best serves the caller's needs. PMR1 lets you program these automated attendants with flexible call-routing patterns based on the time-of-day. It can answer in US English, or can offer a bilingual mode in either Canadian French or Latin American Spanish. Additional capabilities include:
  • Fax detection and routing to transfer fax calls to a pre-programmed extension
  • One general mailbox assigned per automated attendant
  • Centrex transfer to personal operator, default operator, or direct extension

Directory Dialing
This PMR1 feature lets you reach all persons in the system, even if you do not know their extension numbers. The system maintains a list of user names and extension numbers. Using this convenient directory-dialing feature, callers and users can address and forward messages quickly and easily, or can dial another person on the same PARTNER system.

www.messenger™ Software for PARTNER Messaging
www.messenger™ software provides the tools you need to manage your voice mailbox via PC. Once PMR1 is connected to your business' LAN, you can view message headers on your PC using a compatible Web browser, such as Netscape Navigator® 4.6 or Microsoft® Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher.

Additional Features

General Features
Available with 2-, 4-, and 6-ports, this system has 100 hours of total storage time, a monolingual or bilingual option with three languages, 200 user mailboxes, four automated attendants, and up to 99 sub-menus

Call Answer Services
PMR1 greets callers to your extension with personally recorded announcements. You can record up to six announcements, and can designate different greetings for internal and external callers and according to the time-of-day. The system also enables callers to reach you by extension or name, indicate message priority, leave a voice message, send a fax, or transfer to another extension or a designated operator. With PMR1, you can improve customer service with round-the-clock call handling and flexible self-help options.

Cascaded Outcalling
With this feature, you can program PMR1 to dial up to five different telephone, cellular or pager numbers to alert you to a new message. Cascaded outcalling offers an ideal, work-efficient solution when you are expecting a call but cannot be near your phone.

Record-a-Call
When equipped as a 4-or 6-port system, you can use PMR1 to document your conversations accurately for future reference. This record-a-call* feature offers a valuable, timesaving tool for recording transactions with customers (such as merchandise orders), confirming information with colleagues, and detailing minutes from conference calls.

*Before using the record-a-call feature, you should consult your legal counsel regarding federal and local regulations for call recording.

Live Call Screening
This feature lets you work undisturbed at your desk without missing important calls. With PMR1's live call screening, you can listen in as callers leave their messages. This helps you to prioritize work efforts and increase your productivity.

Voice Mail Features
With PMR1, you get a robust set of features to access and manage your voice mailbox via your PARTNER phone. These features offer you complete control to create, play back, skip, reply to, forward, save, and delete messages in your mailbox. PMR1 also enables you to designate public and private lists for flexible, timesaving broadcasts to various internal workgroups. And, with multiple login options and password protection, PMR1 offers complete message privacy and security.

System Administration
PMR1 offers two options for flexible administrative support. You can access the system using either a Touch-tone User Interface (TUI) in any of the three available languages, or using a PC-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) software package provided in U.S. English. (For GUI access, the software must be installed on a PC/laptop that is connected to your PMR1 system via your LAN.) This gives your System Administrators the tools they need to administer voice mailboxes, establish messaging controls, and assist with diagnostics and troubleshooting. Various levels of storage are also available to meet your need for basic or comprehensive backup and recovery.
